Botanical Drawings by Herbal Medicine Student Charlotte Wyeth

Following are some beautiful botanical drawings created to include in Charlotte’s materia medica as part of her Herbal Medicine studies. Charlotte wrote to say

“It has been wonderful to be drawing again – I loved drawing as a child but haven’t really drawn in decades!  I’m really pleased with how my drawings have turned out and although it feels like it has taken forever! I am so proud of having finally got there.  A few people have even asked if they could buy some which is lovely!”

I’m so proud of Charlotte’s incredible work…all the more impressive as she completed 116 drawings to illustrate each of the primary herbs taught in the Herbal Medicine Diploma Course.

Elecampane (Inula Helenium)

Juniper (Juniperus Communis)

Echinacea (Echinacea Augustifolia or Purpurea)

Borage (Borago Officinalis)

Bistort (Polygonum Bistorta)

Hawthorn (Crataegus Oxycantha)

Drawing herbs is such a valuable approach to truly seeing the unique structure, texture, colors and patterns that are unique to each plant and a wonderful way to enrich your foraging adventures.
